We are committed to change!

In preparation for the release of our upcoming job vacancies, Geologix have demonstrated our commitment to change and diversity in the engineering sector by joining the Diversity Agenda scheme developed by Engineering New Zealand, New Zealand Institutes of Architects, and Association of Consulting Engineering.  We have also gone that one step further in our strive for change by becoming an accord signatory which monitors our diversity across gender and pay equality in the workforce and leadership roles.  Read on to learn more about the Diversity Agenda and the change it is bringing to the engineering industry in New Zealand.  Or, if you know what the Diversity Agenda is about, we have listed a sneak preview of our upcoming job vacancies below!  They will be posted here over the next few days.

Tell us more about the Diversity Agenda

Born in April 2018 with an initial focus on achieving 20% more women by 2021, the Diversity Agenda aimed to dramatically improve the dire stats in engineering and architecture and create the kind of places where women wanted to work. Over the past 12 months, the focus has broadened to include all facets of diversity, and the equally important role that inclusion plays.

The Diversity Agenda has grown since inception to well over 100 organisations across the country and is held in high esteem within both engineering and architecture as an initiative with integrity and purpose.

What has the Diversity Agenda achieved so far?

  • Finalist in the ‘Emerging Diversity and Inclusion’ category at the Diversity Awards NZ 2019.
  • Recruitment of over 165 organisations and held over 30 events across the country.
  • Awarded ‘Best Diversity and Inclusion Initiative’ at the FIDIC International Federation of Consulting Engineers Excellence Awards 2019 in Mexico City.
  • Published over 50 articles including interviews with industry leaders, profiles on individuals and programmes, reviews of workshops, and top tips to help businesses become more diverse and inclusive.

We see a different approach to engineering, join us to be part of it!
